To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Submariner model – introduced in 1953 – Rolex introduced the all new ref. no. 16610 LV by the end of 2003 (LV stands for Lunette Verte or Green Bezel in English and not Limited Edition as some may think). The 16610 LV has a maxi dial with large hour indexes, thick minute hand, and a green bezel.
